Star Team is a gift shop owned by Kyota Umeki based in New York City. The Official Star Team Gift Shop is located in the East Village just footsteps away from Tompkins Square Park, the centerpiece location of where the brand's earliest ideas were developed. The signature star logo originates from Kyota's childhood drawings which he later evolved into clothing after high school. In 2022, Star Team released "The Ipod Video," a skate film featuring Kyota's friends and upbringings of the brand. Now, the brand is dedicated to providing and giving back to the skateboarding community in the East Village."
