Lorimer Vinyl Messenger Bag (M)
This multipurpose bag can transform into 3 different styles! The traditional shoulder strap is used for cross body hauling, the handle is for grabbing on the go, and the hideaway shoulder straps convert into a hands-free backpack. The vinyl lining and outer flap keep all of your items completely waterproof and safe from the rain. The detachable insert in the main compartment safely stores a laptop up to 15 inches. The hidden zippered compartment, under the flap, holds items that can be reached quickly. The bag also has a removable cell phone pouch and a place for a water bottle. A Velcro enclosure keeps everything inside secure yet easy to access.
- Can be carried 3 ways, shoulder strap, top handle, and hidden backpack straps
- Velcro closure for easy access
- Double reinforcement on the corners for durability
- Detachable insert for laptops up to 15”
- Hidden zipper compartment under flap
- Water resistant lining and top flap
- Removable cell phone pouch
- Space for water bottle

onVersatile, large, but with many design flaws.I've had this bag for a year now. I use it for bike commuting and lugging around campus.
-Ultra durable water resistant materials/hardware. It feels indestructible.
-Carry it as a shoulder bag on campus or backpack with straps while biking.
-Expandable. I can fit a 13" computer and 4 textbooks.
-Outer flap and main storage compartment use wayy too much velcro. It's not needed, ultra noisy, and reseals the bag up after every use, so I get to peel it open constantly. -External mesh bottle pocket is useless. Too small for even a can to fit in easily. Larger opening with a draw cord is a better idea.
-Backpack straps permanently sewed onto bag. I want the option of detaching them completely to save weight/bulk.
-Heavy. Durable materials meant for bike commuting make this less commuter friendly.
In the end, it's both an over and under engineered bag, super durable, voluminous, but not really great at any particular use.
